Anthony Hedges

I have been active as a composer for the last 65 years and my compositions - many of them commissioned works - cover virtually all genres of music. My music has been, and continues to be, performed worldwide. After studying music (first degree and postgraduate levels) at Oxford University I taught composition at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and subsequently for 33 years at the University of Hull where I was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree. My music though 'modern' is easily approachable and enjoyable to perform. Some of it falls within the category of 'light music'.
